Day 1: DEPARTURE CITY - FLORENCE

Overnight flight to Florence.

Day 2: FLORENCE

After your Hotel Transfer and check in, enjoy a walking tour of Florence. Time to relax. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3: FLORENCE

After breakfast we start the day with a guided city tour: Giottos Bell Tower, the Baptistery's bronze doors, Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral with its famous cupola built by Bruneleschi and Church of Santa Croce. Then we walk to Ponte Vecchio a unique bridge over the Arno river. Later we visit San Lorenzo Market, an amazing street market with all kinds of shops that sell leather goods. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 4: FLORENCE - SAN GIMIGNANO - SIENA - ROME

After breakfast we will depart for San Gimignano, known as the “tower city”. Visit to Porta San Giovanni, Piazza della Cisterna, Palace del Popolo, Civical Museum and Sant’ Agostino.  Visit till the lunch time, then, way to reach Siena. Siena is surrounded by Chianti woods and hills and is located in the centre of a large and attractive valley. Probably Siena’s notoriety is due to the celebration of the Palio, a horse race among all the district areas of the town, called “contrade”. Therefore, a great mixture of culture, history and healthy food. Late afternoon transfer to Rome.  Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.
 

Day 5: ROME

After breakfast we will explore Ancient Rome: the Colosseum, Titus Arch, Constantine's Arch, Forum Romanum, Foro Traiano, Campidoglio, Victor Emanuel Monument. After some free time we will visit Doria Pamphilj Gallery, with it's collection of great masters including Tintoretto, Caravaggio, Tiziano, Rafaello, Bernini, Brueghel, and Velasquez. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel..

Day 6: ROME - NAPLES - POMPEII - SORRENTO

Breakfast. After leaving Rome, the coach will take the " Sun Route " motorway, driving through the regions of Lazio and Campania, with a view of the Abbey of Montecassino. Upon arrival in Naples there will be a short panoramic city tour: Mergellina, Castel dell'Ovo, Plebiscito Square, the Royal Palace, the Maschio Angioino and the port. Then we continue to Pompeii with a visit to the excavations of the famous Roman city, destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Leaving Pompeii and driving along the coast we arrive in Sorrento. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 7: SORRENTO - CAPRI - SORRENTO

After breakfast we board the boat for the Island of Capri. Visit to Anacapri with entrance to the delightful Villa San Michele. Late afternoon return to Sorrento.  Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 8: SORRENTO - AMALFI COAST - NIGHT FERRY TO PATRAS

Day 9: PATRAS - DELHI

Arrival in Patras and disembark. Capital of the Peloponnese, Patras serves as a hub for ships travelling among the Greek islands and the ports of Italy. Travel to through vineyards and orchards to Delphi, home of the mystical Oracle.  Time to rest Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.
 

Day 10: DELHI - ATHENS

After breakfast as you tour Delphi, ponder the mysteries of what lies in your future, as did Greece’s ancient military leaders, who left gifts for the Oracle in hopes of good fortune in battle. Then visit the Temple of Apollo where, according to legend, the god communicated with mortals. Your visit concludes with a stop at the Delphi Museum, whose collection boasts many artefacts dating back to 550 B.C., reminiscent of the mythical past of ancient Greece. Late afternoon transfer to Athens. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 11: ATHENS

After breakfast we will meet our tour guide and we will embark on a half-day walking tour of Athens. You will see the House of the Greek parliament then, walking through the Syntagma Square to a Byzantine church with a short visit (either Sotira of Lycodimos or the Kottakis Church) Walking through Plaka, the old town of Athens, you will visit Lysicrates monument and Hadrian's Arch. Afterwards, a ten-minute walk up the beautiful pedestrian walkway will bring you to the Acropolis with its spectacular views over the city below. Your guide will give a detailed explanation of the history of the glorious monuments of Acropolis its surrounding monuments and sites. Take a deserved rest and in the afternoon join your tour director on a visit through Athens. See three impressive Neo-Greek buildings; the Library, Academia and the University, as well as Cathedral of St. Denis, the main Catholic Church of Athens as well as the Henry Schliemann house and the newly discovered tombs in Syntagma Square. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.
 

Day 12: DEPARTURE

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
