Day 1: DEPARTURE CITY -
MALAGA
Overnight flight to Malaga.
Day 2:
MALAGA
Welcome to Malaga, birth place of Pablo Picasso.
Upon arrival at
the airport we transfer to our centrally located Hotel.
After checking into your hotel, time to relax. Later with your Tour Director
enjoy a walking tour of the historic centre. Dinner and

Day 3:
MALAGA
Breakfast.
This morning on our
Málaga Guided Tour we'll visit the Cathedral, the Roman Amphitheatre, the
Moorish fortress-castle of Gibralfarom Plaza Merced and the birthplace of
Malaga´s most famous son, Pablo Picasso. The tour finishes with a guided tour of
Picasso's personal collection of his own work.

Day 4:
MALAGA - GRANADA - MALAGA
After breakfast we
embark on a journey to
Granada, capital of the Moorish Kingdom of Spain until the Moors’ defeat in
1492. In Granada we will visit the Albaicin quarter and its stunning
architecture and then the Alhambra Palace and gardens, an opportunity not to be
missed! The Palace is a complex of magnificent buildings begun by the Moors and
built over the centuries. Highlights are the famous Lion Court as well as the
exotic water gardens of the Generalife, the royal summer residence, where you
have fine views over the town.
Late
afternoon return to Malaga. Free time.

Day 5:
MALAGA - SEVILLE
Breakfast.
Today we drive to
Seville. On arrival our local
city expert will take us on a city tour of the great monuments
and sights of this lovely city. First we will drive through the Maria Luisa Park
with its cool pools and fountains. The pavilions constructed for the
Hispano-American exhibition at the beginning of the 20th century are still as
impressive today as they were in the 1930s. We will then see the mighty
cathedral and the Mozarabic Tower of La Giralda and visit some of the delightful
patios adorned with pots of geraniums and bougainvilleas.
Free time.

Day 6:
SEVILLE - CORDOBA - SEVILLE
Breakfast.
This morning we
travel to
Cordoba. A highlight of the tour is a visit to the Catholic cathedral, converted
from a mosque when the Christians conquered Cordoba in 1236. With nearly 1,000
pillars, the cathedral's original Gothic architecture is combined with Baroque
and Renaissance elements. You'll see the remarkable Cardinal's Chapel and its
treasures, including an ivory crucifix and important sculptures and paintings.
Next, you'll visit the old Jewish quarter, stepping back in time to the era of
the Romans and Goths. You will see one of the few synagogues existing today in
Spain, built in 1315, as well as many important monuments to Cordoba's most
important sons, including the Roman philosopher Seneca, Arabian philosopher
Averroes and the Jewish philosopher Maimonides. Late afternoon return to
Seville.

Day 7:
SEVILLE - MADRID
Breakfast.
This morning we board a high-speed train to Madrid.
On
arrival we embark on a sightseeing tour with a local guide where will see the
main highlights of this buzzing city, including the Cibeles fountain, the Gran Via, Paseo de la
Castellana, Puerta del Sol and Plaza de España with its monument to Cervantes.
Later we will visit the famous Prado Museum famous for its Velazquez paintings.
Afternoon free
time. Dinner and
Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 8:
MADRID - EL ESCORIAL - SEGOVIA - MADRID
Breakfast.
Today we
venture into the Castilian country-side. First stop is El Escorial royal city,
see the king’s deathbed and the tombs of the majority of past kings and queens
of Spain. This enormous Renaissance palace boasts 16 courtyards, 2,673 windows,
1,250 doors, 86 staircases and 88 fountains. Then we proceed to medieval city of
Segovia where we visit the 14th-century Alcázar fortress, the town’s golden
cathedral and Roman aqueduct.
Return to Madrid late afternoon. Free time.

Day 9: DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
