Itinerary

Veneto has a number of cities chock a block full of artistic and architectural treasures, but it is also a fertile agricultural Region that produces an immense array of foods and more wine than any other region in Italy - and so its varied landscape is dotted with farms and undulating vineyards.  And then there's Lago di Garda...whose long finger penetrates the Italian Alps. The Veneto has it all...

 

Day 1: Arrival in Venice Airport or Train Station

Private Transfer from Venice Airport or Train Station to Hotel in Venice.

Meet your Tour Director and rest of Group

Evening Welcome Dinner Party in a traditional restaurant

 

Day 2: Venice

Buffet breakfast. Visit St. Mark's square, the Basilica and the Doge's Palace. Then, leave the square and crowds behind to discover the "real Venice ", enter a labyrinth of narrow passageways.  Spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 3: Venice - Padua - Vicenza - Verona

Morning: Padua Tour

After breakfast travel to Padua, The city is picturesque, with a dense network of arcaded streets opening into large communal piazze, and many bridges crossing the various branches of the Bacchiglione River

 
   

Afternoon: Vicenza Tour

The town of Vicenza is known all over the world as "City of Palladio" inserted in the Unesco World Heritage List. Vicenza is famous for its art, refined architecture, harmony of forms and proportions. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 4: Verona

Buffet breakfast. The second city of art in the region, Verona displays its artistic, cultural, and natural treasures with pride. Its palaces, bridges, churches, and squares accompany the visitor in an amazing journey. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 5: Verona - Malcesine - Bardolino - Verona

Morning: Malcesine

Malcesine is a town with two faces: one historical, with the Della Scala castle, palaces and small churches; the other naturalistic, wonderfully represented by the enchanting landscape of Mount Baldo.

   

Afternoon: Bardolino Wine Route

The Bardolino Wine Route runs along the east shore of Lake Garda from Peschiera in the south to Garda and Albaré in the north. We will visit a local vintage for a taste of their Bardolino wine. Late afternoon return to Verona. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 6: Verona - Marostica - Bassano - Treviso

Morning: Marostica

Two fortified walls start from the upper castle; they embrace the whole old town centre and meet lower down in the lower Castle. The borgo of Giara was originally the centre of Marostica.

   

Afternoon: Bassano del Grappa

One of the most characteristic places in Veneto, its historical centre is a series of alleyways, small squares, arcades, frescoed houses, and Renaissance palaces. Late afternoon transfer to Treviso. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 7: Treviso

Buffet breakfast. Spend the morning on a Guided walking tour of the historic centre. Behind the heavy gates of villas and palaces, under the porticos and in the gardens, here there is a sense of distinction and refinement. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
